This treatment will generally take 15 minutes to complete with results commencing in the following 2 to 5 days. Optimal results are seen at the
2-week mark. Results vary between individuals however most will achieve results lasting 3-5months.
There is no downtime for this treatment although your aftercare includes;
• Staying upright for 4 hours.
• No excessive exercise for 24-48hours
• No makeup application for minimum 4 hours
• No active ingredients (eg. Vitamin C) for 24-48hours.
• No direct pressure on injection points for 24 hours.
What are the risks?
Whilst uncommon, there are risks associated with medical treatments including anti wrinkle injections. Common side effects may include;
• Bruising
• Redness
• Pain
• Headache
Your injector will discuss these risks with you previous to your anti-wrinkle treatment.
Uncommon side effects include;
• Eyebrow drop
• Eyelid droop (or ptosis), a temporary drop of the eyelid that usually takes 2-4 weeks to resolve.
• Double vision
• Asymmetry
• Difficulty pursing the lips (for perioral treatments)
• In very rare cases difficulty swallowing and breathing.
